Tangaza Stories

Inside a Tangaza cohort

Smartphones become film studios. 208 young people — many of them young women — learning to shoot, edit and tell stories that matter.

A Tangaza cohort starts with the phone already in your pocket. Participants learn framing, sound, lighting and interviewing before moving on to editing, motion graphics and formatting for social media.

Every cohort ends with portfolio-ready work: short documentaries and reports on climate, gender equality and life in Nairobi's informal settlements.

Tangaza is supported by Spor Media and funded by CISU, and NaiWave Studios gives graduates a place to keep creating.

Art becomes confidence. Confidence becomes change.

Your support helps create a safe space where a young person can discover talent, develop skills and see a different future. Give once, or give monthly.
