ABOUT US
Nafsi Pamoja, a Community Based Organization situated in Nairobi, Kenya, comprises modern social artists from the city's various slums. The term 'Nafsi' translates to 'soul' in Swahili. Through a diverse range of arts such as music, acrobatics, circus acts, dance, yoga, percussion, theater, crafts, and visual arts, this organization actively engages and connects with underprivileged children and youth. By offering a platform for expression, encouraging social dialogue, and fostering self-awareness, Nafsi Africa plays a crucial role in the community.
OUR METHOD
Nafsi Pamoja conducts regular training sessions for kids across various neighborhoods in the city, including Kariobangi, Babadogo, Kibera, Dagoretti, and Kivuli centers. Despite occasional hurdles in maintaining resources, the dedicated team perseveres, conducting classes every week for these eager children. They travel from their own neighborhoods to these centers, where the children eagerly await their sessions. Supporting this program is possible by sponsoring a particular trainer or center, allowing you to stay connected and track the center's progress as well.
